A robust educational environment in pregnancy can help mothers learn the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise on the outcome of their pregnancy. Evidence-based childbirth education can help empower mothers to help them navigate the birth experience with confidence. Comprehensive lactation education can improve breastfeeding rates and help mothers troubleshoot common challenges.
Gaps in access to adequate and nutritious food, transportation, books, supplements, baby care equipment, maternity clothing, and nursing supplies create hurdles in pregnancy and the early years after a new baby. We as a community can help families to overcome these hurdles and close that gap.
We aim to improve families' access to timely breastfeeding support, family-centered prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, and doula support throughout the perinatal period. This can include direct one-on-one support, meeting as a group in postpartum and lactation support gatherings, or supporting the training new and existing providers.
As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals, fund our mission, and are tax deductible.
